Goals for the Year
We have met our Goals for the year focusing on inequities
- Had guest speaker Sherri Proctor
- 18 people attended and it was well received
Matt Schmidt’s Application for Speaker
Discussed Matt Schmidt’s application for speaker (Parsons and IALT connection)
Decided it was more appropriate to move to next fall
Awards
Dennison Award
- 2 applications submitted
- Both were very strong, committee made selection
- Feedback for both will be sent to OER
Assistant Professor Awards
- 6 applications submitted, committee made selection
- Focused on traditional assistant professor to meet the university level needs
- Competitive against all university candidates
- Focus is on grant work and publications
- Needs to have national visibility
- Did discuss the need for future college recognition of assistant professors and their work
- Many amazing candidates and work being done
Graduate Student Awards – March 30th (moved from 26th)
