This workshop will take place on Tuesday & Thursday, April 16th and 18th, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. each evening. An experienced English professor will walk students through tips and tactics to succeed on the exam, using practice test materials and sample questions. Teacher Training Workshop through Project Learning Tree (PLT)
Students interested in teaching elementary grades or middle / high school science are invited to participate in a Teacher Training Workshop through Project Learning Tree (PLT). PLT is an environmental education curriculum for teachers of preK-12 students focused on giving students opportunities to learn about science concepts through engaging activities in and outside of the classroom. This training will introduce teachers to the curriculum through opportunities to experience some of the lessons while also learning about how to successfully implement this type of learning with preK-12 students.
- The 3 hour PLT workshop workshop will take place on Saturday, April 27th from 9:00am- noon at the Cuscowilla Nature and Retreat Center (210 SE 134 Ave, Micanopy, FL 32667).
- All participants will receive a $20 per hour stipend as well as PLT instructional materials.
- This workshop is limited to the first 25 preservice teachers who sign up. Registration is required for participation.
