Spring 2025 Laura Bassi Scholarship
The Laura Bassi Scholarship was established in 2018 with the aim of providing editorial assistance to postgraduates and junior academics whose research focuses on neglected topics of study, broadly construed. The scholarships are open to every discipline and the next round of funding will be awarded in Spring 2025:

CoE Graduate Program Student Personnel in Higher Education is Recruiting New Students
The University of Florida Student Personnel in Higher Education program is designed to prepare students to enter Student Affairs or related fields in higher education or education adjacent professions.
Students who join the SPHE on-campus master’s program graduate prepared to take on leadership roles in student affairs and related fields in a variety of settings. This program integrates academic coursework with practitioner-based experience to put theory into action as a scholar-practitioner, while growing your connections and building relationships across the Gator Nation.
The SPHE master’s degree consists of 33 credit hours of core classes and 3 credit hours of supervised practicum and internship experiences (36 credit hours total). Students enter the graduate program in the fall semester as members of a cohort group. The group provides support and builds a sense of community for the students. All students are assigned a faculty advisor at the time of admission and have a graduate assistantship.

Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp
Applications for the 2025 Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Summer Camp program are open, and we are eager to share this wonderful opportunity with those who may be interested in volunteering as counselors. As you may know, MDA Summer Camp provides kids ages 8-17 diagnosed with neuromuscular diseases the chance to experience a life-changing week filled with fun, adventure, and friendship—all at no cost to their families. This camp enables kids to just be kids in an environment where they can connect with others facing similar challenges.
MDA Summer Camp is made possible by volunteer counselors who provide essential support to campers as they participate in adaptive camp experiences, games, dances, mealtimes and more. In addition to bringing joy to campers, this fantastic opportunity allows students to gain valuable field-based experience in medical professions, education, recreation, and social sciences. Counselors can earn over 140 hours of volunteer service while gaining meaningful, real-world experience. Balance 180 Hands On Learning Opportunity
Balance 180 Gymnastics & Sports Academy, is a local non-profit organization that focuses on integrating children with and without special needs through sports. This spring, we are offering a hands-on learning experience available for students interested in working with children. During our Adaptive Gymnastics Classes, we teach gymnasts with physical or intellectual disabilities foundational skills on the vault, bars, beam, and floor in a step-by-step, individualized process. Our volunteers work one-on-one with the athletes and help each athlete work at their own pace. Volunteers focus on helping the athletes improve motor skills and encourage them to follow instructions and make new friends. The Adaptive Gymnastics volunteering will be held on most Saturdays, listed specifically on the below flyer, from 12:30-2:30 PM.

Additionally, the family is looking for a student coach to help the boy with swimming, basketball, tennis, or other outdoor sports. The pay is $30-35 per hour.
