Chi Sigma Iota

The full name of this organization is Chi Sigma Iota: Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International. Formed in 1985, this organization was created to “provide a much needed link between students, educators, practitioners, and administrators in various counseling settings.” while also recognizing outstanding academic work. Membership is open to graduate students, professional counselors and counselor educators. CSI offers networking opportunities, professional development resources and scholarships to its members.

Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP)

CACREP is an independent agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation that accredits master’s and doctoral degree programs in counseling and related fields, ensuring that educational programs meet high-quality standards.
