About
Deaetta is a clinical assistant professor working within the counselor education department. Deaetta has been a counselor for six years and her clinical experience includes working with children/adolescents and young adults focusing on trauma, behavioral issues, suicidal ideation, self-esteem and anxiety. Deaetta\'s research includes: Race-Based Traumatic Stress and its impact on BIPOC students, intergenerational trauma, and counselor training that is inclusive for counselors and clients.
