About

Dr. Mary Kay Carodine is an experienced and visionary leader in higher education with over 30 years of service in student affairs. Her role as a faculty member is an evolution from her practitioner work to prepare graduate students for the evolving world of education. Dr. Carodine focuses on environments and student development theory that support student development for all students. She has led strategic initiatives in student success, engagement, and wellbeing on a campus of 60,000 students. Known as a strategist and student advocate, Dr. Carodine has overseen key areas such as first-generation student support, leadership and service, dean of students office, career services, and internationalization, while building collaborative partnerships across academic and student affairs. Her work is rooted in a deep commitment to experiential learning, purpose-driven education, and student development. She brings a holistic and mission-driven approach to transforming campus life and student outcomes. Dr. Carodine is passionate about advancing student learning that prioritizes community, learning, and civic engagement.
