Legislators earmark $400,000 for reading program at struggling schools in St. Petersburg

Florida legislators approved spending nearly $400,000 for a new intensive reading improvement program developed by the College of Education’s Lastinger Center for Learning to help struggling students. Five failing elementary schools are targeted for the reading program.
