This is a challenging time – we’d like to help

With everyone dutifully practicing social distancing and staying home, we have heard many requests for resources to help families and caregivers as they transition into a reality where the lines are blurred and daily activities now include children at every turn.

From what our team has found online (including great resources from the Anita Zucker Center, CEEDAR Center, Lastinger Center and the UF Literacy Institute) we’ve begun to compile this list of resources below. This is by no means an exhaustive list and we are not endorsing any of these resources outside of those from UF, but we hope this helps. In all kinds of weather…

Art class live stream

Live themed art lessons by elementary art teacher, Cassie Stephens offered at 11 a.m. CST Monday through Friday on Facebook and Instagram with a different theme each week. Her blog also has writing prompts and art ideas to keep kids entertained and learning.

Kennedy Center Lunch Doodles with Education Artist-in-Residence Mo Willems

Child’s Author will be teaching kids how to draw and write during livestreams throughout the coming weeks. New doodle lessons will be up each weekday at 1pm ET.
