Staff Development
Staff at the University of Florida have access to personal and professional development opportunities through UF Training & Organizational Development. To support long careers and opportunities for advancement and growth, staff can participate in courses such as Managing @ UF Supervisory Challenge, Thrive @ UF, and Financial Literacy and Retirement Education (FLARE). The UF Engaged quarterly check-in process provides regular self- and supervisor-assessments to ensure satisfactory performance and to identify opportunities for professional development and goal setting. The COE HR Assistant Director provides guidance to staff and supervisors to ensure appropriate onboarding and ongoing support.
Staff Council
The Staff Advisory Council (SAC) was established to serve as a supporting body for staff in the COE, and to function as a liaison between college staff and leadership about overarching concerns affecting staff as a whole. The SAC is committed to accepting and sharing responsibility with COE employees in all efforts to attain the stated mission and goals of the college and UF.
