Services and Volunteer Opportunities
Alachua County Crisis Center Volunteers
Description: The Alachua County Crisis Center is recruiting volunteers to answer the local crisis hotline, as well as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988).
The Alachua County Crisis Center provides free and confidential crisis response services to Alachua County and the surrounding community, almost all of which are provided by highly trained volunteers. Volunteering with the Crisis Center is a great way to support our community and those in need, while also learning valuable communication skills you can use for the rest of your life.
How to Volunteer: The first step to getting involved in training is to submit the online application found here.
Balance 180 Gymnastics & Sports Academy Volunteers
Description: Balance 180 Gymnastics & Sports Academy is looking for highly motivated volunteers to participate in our three-week inclusive summer camp or pair up with an athlete enrolled in our Adaptive classes on Saturdays. Below is a brief description of each program and we have also attached a flyer. We will be conducting our first training session May 24. Interested students should complete the following Google form, and we will follow up with next steps!

Tutoring and Childcare
STEPs for Success Tutors
Description: STEPs for Success is looking for tutors for elementary, middle, and high school students. Tutoring/Teaching experience required.
Pay: $20 per hour
Hours: Tutors-at least 4 hours a week (more hours are available upon request)
Schedule: Flexible, afternoon/evenings 3-4 days a week Monday through Friday are highly preferred
