Admissions
The Computer Science Education program adheres to the admission guidelines set by our home department, the School of Teaching and Learning. Please refer to: Admission Guidelines for all Degrees and Certificates. This page also includes admissions deadlines for each semester (please scroll below the links to each program in our department).
Admissions Requirements for MAE Program
- A completed Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Three letters of recommendations from your previous professor, or your current professional field.
- A purpose of statement (i.e. why you want to enroll in the Computer Science Education program and how it will help you reach your professional goals).
- Transcript from your Bachelor’s degree.
- At least a 3.0 undergraduate GPA.
Admissions Requirements for Ed.D. Program
- A completed Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Three letters of recommendations from your previous professor, or your current professional field.
- A purpose of statement (i.e. why you want to enroll in the Computer Science Education program and how it will help you reach your professional goals).
- A writing sample (e.g., a publication, a report, a comprehensive lesson plan, an essay, or paper previously submitted as an assignment).
- Transcripts from your Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.
- At least a 3.0 undergraduate GPA.
* The GRE is no longer required for any of the CS Education programs.
