- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, a comparable degree from an international institution, or a degree deemed equivalent by the University of Florida Office of Admissions.
- Currently working as an in-service teacher in any content area.
- A minimum grade point average of 2.5 in undergraduate work.
- If applicable, an acceptable graduate grade point average for previous graduate work.

After formal approval by the University of Florida, the Computer Science K-12 Teaching Graduate Certificate will be available as an official certificate program.
