Application Instructions

The Computer Science Education program adheres to the admission guidelines set by our home department, the School of Teaching and Learning (STL). Please refer to their admission guidelines for all degrees and certificates for important deadlines.

Step 1: Prepare the following materials

  • Transcripts from each higher education institution to the University of Florida’s Office of Admissions, CODE 5812 if done online, or mail to PO Box 114000, 201 Criser Hall, Gainesville, FL  32611-4000.
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation.
  • Statement of purpose (1-2 pages).
  • Resume with your current professional employment and career goals.

Please note: UF requires that all applicants to graduate programs have at least a 3.0 undergraduate GPA.

Step 2: Apply Online

Apply online to the University of Florida Graduate School and pay the application fee. When completing the application, please use the following information in the “Primary Program” section:

  • Degree goal: Master of Arts in Education
  • Program of Study: Curriculum and Instruction
  • Program Specialization: Computer Science Education
  • Department Contact Name: Dr. Rui Tammy Huang

    Application Deadlines

    • Cohorts begin every year in the Fall semester. For this program, there are no early or rolling admissions; we will review all applications after the July, 2025 deadline.
