About

Dr. Amber Moss is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Counseling Interns in Florida. She has years of experience providing mental health counseling treatment for children, adults, and families, to address an array of clinical needs. Much of her clinical work experience has focused on providing treatment for survivors of trauma. Dr. Moss also has experience providing specialized clinical family services, parenting assessments, parent-child observation, therapeutic visitation, and reunification. Her current research interests include topics of trauma, resilience, and post-traumatic growth (PTG). She is also interested in research on mindfulness and self-compassion among developing and practicing counselors in fostering resilience and career longevity. As a counselor educator, she hopes to inspire an interest in personal wellness and to promote student compassion, connection, and empathy for themselves and others.
