About
Jasmine B. Ulmer is an Associate Professor of Research and Evaluation Methodology in the University of Florida’s College of Education. Previously, she was an Associate Professor in the Division of Administrative and Organizational Studies in the College of Education at Wayne State University in Detroit, where she coordinated the Educational Evaluation and Research program. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Florida with a doctoral concentration of coursework in Research and Evaluation Methodology. Her methodological contributions have been recognized by the Measurement & Research Methodologies division of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) with an early career award. In addition, Ulmer has been honored to serve as a visiting scholar at Ghent University in Belgium.
Prior to entering postsecondary education, Ulmer taught 6 subjects across 9 grade levels in 6 years while leading faculty professional development and curriculum design. During this time, she earned certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards; worked for the U.S. Department of Education as a Teaching Ambassador Fellow; and served on multiple committees for the Florida Department of Education.
Ulmer locates her research at the intersection of emerging technologies, research methodologies, and multidisciplinary collaborations in higher education.
