The UF Thompson Earth Systems Institute (TESI), housed at the Florida Museum of Natural History, supports UF faculty and staff in developing high-quality broader impacts plans that connect research to communities across Florida. Since 2018, TESI’s interdisciplinary team of education researchers, science communicators, former K–12 teachers, and evaluators has helped secure more than $24 million in funding across nine UF colleges by designing and implementing effective outreach, public engagement, and science communication activities.
Faculty are invited to learn more about how TESI can support their research at a TESI meet-and-greet on Wednesday, February 4, from 9-10 AM at the UF Biodiversity Institute (CSE Building, Room E252), or at the UF Eye Opener Discovery Breakfast on Wednesday, February 18, at 7:30 AM in the UF Hilton Shula’s Private Dining Room.
