NSF CAMEL Funding Opportunity

January 22, 2026

The National Science Foundation (NSF), in partnership with philanthropic organizations including the Walton Family Foundation, is accepting proposals for the Collaboratory to Advance Mathematics Education and Learning (CAMEL) for K-12 program. CAMEL aims to advance K-12 mathematics learning through interdisciplinary collaboration that integrates the science of learning, education practice, data science, AI, and technology. The program will fund Phase I Collaborative Networks to generate new or enhanced high-value, AI-ready datasets that address critical challenges in K-12 math learning, with Phase II supporting the establishment of a national collaboratory to sustain collaboration, capacity-building, and translation between research and practice. Visit the NSF CAMEL solicitation for more information.
