The National Science Foundation (NSF), in partnership with philanthropic organizations including the Walton Family Foundation, is accepting proposals for the Collaboratory to Advance Mathematics Education and Learning (CAMEL) for K-12 program. CAMEL aims to advance K-12 mathematics learning through interdisciplinary collaboration that integrates the science of learning, education practice, data science, AI, and technology. The program will fund Phase I Collaborative Networks to generate new or enhanced high-value, AI-ready datasets that address critical challenges in K-12 math learning, with Phase II supporting the establishment of a national collaboratory to sustain collaboration, capacity-building, and translation between research and practice.
