The UF Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) has expanded its resources and programming to support postdoctoral scholars and the faculty and staff who work with them. Recent initiatives include the launch of the OPA Resource Hub, monthly virtual orientations for new postdocs; expanded one-on-one consultations; professional development workshops; and weekly updates highlighting funding, career, and professional development opportunities. OPA has also continued its engagement with the UF Postdoctoral Association and expanded resources supporting the Ewel Fellowship program.
OPA will also celebrate National Postdoctoral Appreciation Week, beginning September 20, 2026, with nine events focused on professional development, career exploration, networking, recognition, and community building. Faculty are encouraged to share these opportunities with postdoctoral scholars and encourage their participation throughout the week.
