Doctorate Program

Graduates are prepared to address complex topics in linguistics and pedagogy, ranging from Second Language Acquisition (SLA) to multilingual and multicultural education.

Graduates of this program apply their ESOL/Bilingual Education degree in a variety of fields. These include research and teaching positions within postsecondary institutions, leadership roles in state education agencies, and development positions within the language learning technology industry—both in the United States and abroad.

Master’s Program

The Master of Arts in Education (MAE) prepares graduates to address complex topics in linguistics and pedagogy, ranging from Second Language Acquisition (SLA) to multilingual and multicultural education.

Graduates can combine this degree with the Language, Education & Technology Certificate or the Second Language Acquisition and Teaching Certificate in collaboration with the UF Linguistics Program. Students can choose from a variety of areas such as Literacy, Reading, Education Technology, or Linguistics to complete the degree.

Master’s Program
