How do I apply to the UF on-campus research and evaluation methodology M.Ed. program?
Prospective students must use the university-wide graduate application available through the UF Admissions website. You will also need to submit the department’s required supplemental materials. Details on what is required are provided on the program’s application instructions page.
When are applications for the REM on-campus M.Ed. program due?
Students can start this program at different points throughout the year. Because of this, we have three possible application deadlines:
- Apply by March 15 to start classes during the Summer semesterÂ
- Apply by July 1 to start classes during the Fall semesterÂ
- Apply by October 15 to start classes during the Spring semester
Please note that all application materials must be received by the deadline to review your application. We recommend that international students apply early to allow time for the processing of visas. Does this program require the GRE?
The REM on-campus M.Ed. program does not require GRE scores. Â
What is the cost of attendance?
The UF Student Financial Affairs and Scholarships office has information about the current cost of attending UF. This page also includes estimates for living expenses in the Gainesville area.
How do I arrange a campus visit?
Applicants to the on-campus REM programs are encouraged to schedule a campus visit. During this visit, prospective students will have the opportunity to talk to REM faculty and students, and visit the REM facilities. All applicants interested in campus visitation should contact the REM program coordinator.
Is there financial aid available for this program?
We advise applicants and students to contact the UF Office for Student Financial Affairs to explore available loans, grants and fellowships.
How far in advance do I need to apply for financial aid?
Financial aid information is available from the UF Office of Financial Aid. The financial aid process can take several months from submission to approval and disbursement. Prospective students should factor this timeline into their admission planning and apply for financial aid well before being accepted or starting the program.
Is teaching experience or certification required for admission into this program?
No. Neither past teaching experience nor teacher certification are required for admission to the UF REM on-campus M.Ed. program.
