Reading and Literacy Education

The UF reading and literacy education faculty comprises a dynamic group of scholars with complementary academic and professional backgrounds. As a group, they embrace different theoretical and epistemological orientations and employ many methodologies in their scholarly work. They are well known for their work in such areas as early literacy, content area literacy, disciplinary literacy, literacy teacher education, writing, second language literacy, academic language, children’s literature, adolescent literature and media literacy. They have received international, national, and local recognitions for their teaching, research and service.
