Daniel Poling, M.A.
Daniel Poling, M.A., is a doctoral candidate at the University of Florida and works as a research assistant on two Institute of Education Science funded studies. Prior to attending UF, he was a special education teacher for twelve years in Maryland and North Carolina. He provided academic instruction and behavioral programming to students with emotional and behavioral needs in residential, self-contained, and general education settings in kindergarten through twelfth grade. He has taught undergraduate classes in behavior and classroom management. In August of 2019, he will begin an Institute of Education Science postdoctoral fellowship in the Academy for Child and Family Wellbeing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His research interests include verbal aggression, teacher-student relationships, and social-emotional learning.
