Where in the world have you traveled to conduct your work?

Uganda, Haiti

What type of work or partnerships have you engaged in (research, teaching, training, outreach, a keynote)?

Outreach in Uganda- teaching children in two orphanages-empowering them to believe in themselves

Training in Haiti-training teachers and church workers in how to use basic helping skills in interacting with children and others who come to them for help and support

Who has benefitted from this work?

It is difficult to know for sure, but I hope the children, teachers, and church workers that I have worked with directly and then in turn those who they have interacted with using what they have learned. I hope the ripple effect has resulted in this international work of “planting seeds”

What is the most interesting aspect of the work you have done?

Connecting with people and watching them apply the skills they are learning

What type of global work are you currently doing? What’s next?

I am currently working to further develop collaborations in countries where the presence of counselors is limited.
