Rose Pringle received the faculty award for the outstanding position paper at the 2019 Southeast Regional Association for Science Teacher Education conference, entitled: The promise and the Peril: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in the Middle grades. Her students received the student award for outstanding position paper: Tredina Sheppard (P.K. Yonge) and Christine Lord are Sci Ed doc students. The title of their position paper: Relevancy to the Real-World: Advancing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in Secondary Education Through Student Engagement.
