AERA Minority Dissertation Fellowship in Education Research
AERA is currently accepting applications for the 2021–2022 AERA Minority Dissertation Fellowship in Education Research competition for advanced graduate students. Proposals should be submitted through the online application by November 16, 2020. The Fellowship Program seeks proposals from advanced graduate students who are from racial and ethnic groups that are underrepresented in higher education (e.g., African Americans, Alaskan Natives, American Indians, Asian Americans, Hispanics or Latinos, and Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islanders). This program provides mentoring and funding support to develop research skills and conduct studies in education related fields and topics.
Those interested in applying for the Minority Dissertation Fellowship are encouraged to watch the informational webinar, and work closely with their advisors, to prepare their proposals. Youth Service Project Coordinator
Title: Youth Service Project Coordinator
Position Description: The Youth Service Project Coordinator will play an active role in the launch and pilot of the xxx program by providing integral project management and technical support for assigned service activities as well as contribute to the positive development and growth of youth participants.
Program Description: XXX is a youth 12-week fellowship program offering leadership training and mentorship to high school juniors in the Alachua County area. Designed to cultivate the next generation of change agents in the Greater Gainesville community, youth will have an opportunity to design and lead their very own community service project aimed to better the communities in which they reside.
Desired Majors: Family, Youth and Community Sciences, Education or Related Field
Compensation: Unpaid. May be used for class credit
Time Commitment: 10 hours per week
Working Conditions: This is primarily a virtual assignment except for community service days. Incumbents should be prepared to attend weekly supervision and planning meetings and appropriate necessary trainings for skill development.
