SREE Summer Graduate Student Fellows Program Applications
SREE (The Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness). The purpose of this program is to connect educational researchers with philanthropic organizations seeking research information without having the time or expertise to access it and, in doing so, advance the use of high-quality education research. SREE student members will have the opportunity to spend the summer working on a ‘real world’ research project answering a question that the philanthropic community is asking to help inform their work. City Year - Student Success Coach
Description: City Year is a non-profit that partners with AmeriCorps to help improve educational equity in public schools across the country. We recruit people between the ages of 18-25 to give a year of service working directly in schools with students in the role of a tutor/mentor. This is a gap-year program you can use to gain professional experience while also earning benefits including a living stipend, health care, money for grad school, and more.

Gainesville’s After School Program
Description: Are you looking to make a difference in this world? We are always looking for great people! Here, at GASP, we pride ourselves on making a difference in the lives of the children in our district. We provide academic support and recreational activities in a fun, safe, stimulating environment for children ages five and above. Are you interested in being a part of our awesome team?
Job Requirements:
- Current infant/child/adult CPR/1st Aid certification. (Gator CPR is currently offering an online course due to COVID-19). Please contact GASP for more information.
- Receive an “eligible” passing through the clearinghouse background check. (This will be set up for you to complete)
- Understand that facility personnel must begin training within 90 days from the date of employment in the child-care industry and complete Parts I and II within one year from the date the training began. (Completion includes passing all competency exams for each course.) These courses are your responsibility to work in childcare.
- Be willing/able to complete Florida DCF Driver’s Physical Examination. (This form will be provided in a new hire packet.)
- Have completed/begin other necessary training required by Florida DCF and GASP. This may include driver training courses.
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to coordinate structure and FUN with our students!
Time Commitment: Must be available to work 20-25 hours per week (with up to 28 hours) as a child-care counselor, 10-12 hours per week as a driver only. We are open 12:30pm-6:00pm, Monday-Friday during regular school days according to Alachua County Public Schools Calendar. During the summer, we are open 7:30am-6:00pm, as well as during some school holidays and holiday breaks. Counselors must be available to work different shifts throughout their time in this facility. During the summer and holidays, shifts may begin as early as 7:15am.

Description: Reef Relief is looking to fill three internship positions in Key West, FL for the Fall semester (September-December). Reef Relief is a registered 501(c)3 organization located in Key West, Florida. Some of our goals include:

Harn Museum of Art Ambassador
Description: Put yourself into the art museum! Have you ever been intrigued by an artwork at a museum, but wished there was someone nearby you could ask for more information? Now is your chance to be that someone! As a Harn ambassador you will share your excitement and insights with museum visitors in the galleries.
You don’t need to have an art background! You can come from any major! We encourage everyone who is interested to consider joining. This new program — developed by Harn Museum of Art staff and student interns — will provide you with the training you need — including exclusive behind the scenes tours — to share your excitement about art with museum visitors.

Join us tomorrow (3/4) for the 2021 UF College of Education Research Symposium, brought to you by the UF College of Education, the Education College Council (ECC), and the Student Alliance of Graduates in Education (SAGE). The Symposium is 100% open to the public – anyone can join any session, no registration required. Here are some highlights of what you won’t want to miss:
- Keynote Presentation: “Leading Through Uncertain Times: How COE School Directors Managed Difficult Times and Lead our Schools Forward” – Our COE school directors – Dr. David Miller, Dr. Erica McCray, and Dr. Ester de Jong – describe the past year in their respective schools and what to expect moving forward (1-2pm on 3/4).
- Roundtable Presentations: Join Zoom rooms for roundtable presentations all day long as undergraduate students, graduate students, and practitioners present their research and discuss some of the most pressing issues in education today

The Presidential Service Award recognizes graduating undergraduate and graduate students who dedicate themselves to promoting social justice, community awareness, and civic engagement on campus and in the community. Additionally, the Faculty and Staff Advocate of the Year is a special Presidential Service Award that recognizes UF faculty or staff who have gone above and beyond in promoting UF students to pursue Service and leadership opportunities in the community. UF Survey | Exploring the Perceptions of Campus Police Outreach Events Among College Students
Dr. Erika Brooke from the Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law at the University of Florida:
Each semester, my undergraduate research methods students undertake an original data collection research project focused on improving the justice system. This semester, we are examining police—community interactions by exploring perceptions of undergraduate students on campus police sponsored outreach events. The study has been approved by the UF IRB (IRB202100354) and my students plan to present their findings to UF police at the end of the semester. JELF (Jewish Educational Loan Fund) provides interest-free, last dollar loans for Jewish undergrad, graduate and vocational students in need. Royal Palm School ESE Positions
Description: Royal Palm School is a great place to work! We are an ESE Center that services students PreK-Transition (ages 3 to 22). We have the following ESE programs at our school for K-12: Physically Impaired, PMH, TMH, ASD, Dual, and Transition. Our class size for K-12 averages 4 to 8 students. All of our rooms have two paraprofessionals that assist the teacher and students throughout the day.

Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program
Description: The Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program Collaborative is a two-year conservation training program for undergraduates who are interested in careers in conservation and in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field. Scholars take part in applied field research projects (1st Summer – 2021), professional internships (2nd Summer – 2022), mentoring, and form strong professional networks that span the country (and beyond). The application deadline has been extended to March 8, 2021 for the Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program Collaborative https://ddcsp-collaborative.org/
Eligibility: Please visit https://ddcsp-collaborative.org/eligibility to see if you are eligible (must graduate in or after Fall 2022).
Pay Rate: Scholars receive a weekly stipend of $550 dollars for 9 weeks in the 1st summer, and 8 weeks in the 2nd summer. This stipend amount does not include the stipend you may receive for food and housing during your second summer.

Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad Fellowships
Description: The Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) Fellowship Program provides opportunities for doctoral candidates to engage in full-time dissertation research abroad in modern foreign languages and area studies. The program is designed to deepen research knowledge and increase the study of modern foreign languages, cultural engagement, and area studies not generally included in U.S. curricula.
Program Features: Students may request funding to support overseas research for a period of no less than six months and no more than 12 months. Funds support travel expenses to and from the residence of the fellow and the country or countries of research; maintenance and dependent allowances based on the location of research for the fellow and his or her dependent(s); an allowance for research-related expenses overseas; and health and accident insurance premiums. Projects may focus on one or more of the following geographic areas: Africa, East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, South Asia, the Near East, Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia, and the Western Hemisphere (excluding the United States and its territories).
Eligible Applicants: Institutions of higher education (IHEs) in the United States are eligible to apply for grants under this program. As part of the application process, eligible students submit their individual research narratives and application forms to their home IHE. The IHE compiles all eligible individual student applications for inclusion in the institutional application that is submitted to the U.S. Department of Education. A student is eligible to receive a DDRA fellowship from their IHE if he or she
- is a citizen, national, or permanent resident of the United States;
- is a graduate student in good standing at an IHE;
- is admitted to candidacy in a doctoral degree program in modern foreign languages and area studies at that institution when the fellowship period begins;
- is planning a teaching career in the United States upon completion of his or her doctoral program; or
- possesses sufficient foreign language skills to carry out the dissertation research project.

Description: The American Council on Education (ACE) is hiring their new cohort of Graduate Research Associates for the 2021-2021 academic year. UF IFAS Summer Internship with Cedar Key School K-12 Education
Description: This internship is intended to give undergraduate students at UF an opportunity for real-world experience in education and/or extension activities. Selected students will work alongside local K-12 youth from Cedar Key School. The hosts include UF/IFAS faculty as well as Cedar Key K-12 educators. Interns will participate in a summer wrap- up workshop where interns will summarize their experiences. This is a great opportunity for students to enhance their skill sets and explore career options in educational natural resource fields. This internship is open to current undergraduates from the College of Education, University of Florida.
Pay Rate: This internship is 240 paid work hours for a total of six weeks, and interns are paid $12.00 per hour for up to 40 hours a week.

Camp Laurel South Summer Camp
About Camp Laurel South: Camp Laurel South is located near Portland, Maine in the heart of the Sebago Lakes Region. Its 150 unspoiled acres include woodlands, sports fields and open lawns. It’s location in the southern part of Maine makes Laurel South a most inviting summer retreat for campers and counselors alike. Each summer, Laurel South operates two four-week programs with 400 boys and girls, ages 7 to 15 in each session. They come from all over the U.S. as well as several foreign countries. The return rate for both campers and staff is very high.
Description: Camp Laurel South is a residential summer camp in Maine seeking college athletes to be activity instructors and camp counselors for the summer of 2021. This is a great summer experience that can fulfill many internship requirements. We look for people with personality, character, maturity, professional training, experience and most importantly, a sincere desire to work with children. Our counselor to camper ratio is better than 1:3.

Florida Elks Summer Camp
Description: Florida Elks Youth Summer Camp is hiring staff members and camp counselors! This summer program will go from June 13th 2021 to August 7th 2021. By working here at camp, students become eligible to apply for the Van Duren scholarship. Students must continue working here to receive the scholarship. Awards are between $1,000 and $5,000 a year. We are a residential camp and staff stay here on property while campers are here. Campers are 9-13.
