What Will I Experience?

This event will help you discover what employers are really looking for over refreshments and light networking. The Diversity Meet Up offers a far less formal setting than Career Showcase where you can boost your confidence and your brand while learning about employers and their organizations, including their full-time and internship opportunities.

This event is open to students from diverse and underrepresented populations including: Veterans, LGBTQA+, Students with Disabilities, Ethnic Minorities, and Women in STEM. RSVP below.

4:30 – 5:30 p.m. | Career Connections Center: Networking Tips Workshop and Practice Session – Need some help making that first impression? Join us to learn strategies to better communicate your story to employers, with time for feedback and practice.

5:30 – 6:30 p.m. | Career Connections Center: Employer Panels – Hear from employers as they discuss topics such as diversity initiatives in their companies, how to communicate your experience in an interview, finding an inclusive workplace, and more.

6:30 – 8:00 p.m. | Reitz Union Grand Ballroom: Open Networking Mixer – This is the real deal. Connect with employers looking for diverse talent – JUST LIKE YOU!
