- Free

The University of Florida Career Connections Center invites you to attend the third annual Faculty and Staff Career Symposium – Experience Reimagined: Supporting Students’ Career Readiness in Uncertain Times.

Given the pandemic’s impact on our economy and the way we work, it is more important than ever for students to have meaningful career experiences that prepare them for work, citizenship, and life after graduation. The Symposium offers UF faculty and staff practical strategies for shaping students’ meaningful experiences through curricular and co-curricular choices. Attendees will also learn how to have impactful career conversations with students that propel them toward setting and achieving their professional goals.

DATES:             January 22 or 29

TIME:               12 – 1:45 p.m.

FORMAT:         Virtual via Zoom

The symposium will consist of two tracks each day – Practitioner and Academic. Both tracks will include presentations and panel discussions with employers, UF faculty, and certified career coaches to provide practical career development applications for faculty and staff to incorporate into their respective functional areas. Graduate Assistants and Teaching Assistants are welcome and encouraged to attend.

In the past years more than 100 faculty and staff across academic disciplines have attended this informative event. Go to www.career.ufl.edu/symposium to get more information and to register.
