International Education Week (Check the Schedule Here!)

November 14, 2022 - November 18, 2022

The College of Education will participate in International Education Week (IEW), November 14-18, 2022. IEW is a joint initiative from the US Dept. of State and the US Dept. of Education. The week is used to highlight, showcase, and celebrate the many aspects of international education, cultures, and diversity. It is a time for collaboration and an exchange of knowledge and cultures. IEW helps to promote the idea of becoming global citizens.

Tuesday, Nov. 15th, 10:30am – 2pm, Norman Hall in the courtyard outside of Opus Coffee

Tabling from international-based student organizations and UF centers. Students, staff, faculty may enter the Lucky Draw Prize Game. Various performances throughout the day. Small bites offered from three local restaurants.

Global Classrooms: ePortfolios for Educators

Are you an education major who’s ready for global engagement? Want to also learn how to truly impact your future students? Please join us for a workshop centered upon ePortfolios and the International Scholars Program (ISP). During this workshop, we’ll go over how to get started and will review suggested guidelines for developing an impactful ePortfolio.

Understanding the J-1 Visa:  Fostering Cultural & Knowledge Exchange

Exchange Visitor Services with the UF International Center will present information on the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program, how to navigate the request process and what benefits come from hosting exchange visitors from the various J-1 categories.

The program will take place in Summer A 2023.
