Summer 2020 Graduate Professional Development Series: Effectively Coping with Writing Anxiety and Procrastination: Support for Students Writing Proposals, Comps, Articles, Theses, Quals, and Dissertations

July 22, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Please join Alison Miller, PhD, owner of The Dissertation Coach to learn a fresh approach to effectively cope with writing anxiety and procrastination. Participants will learn specific skills, tactics, approaches, and mindsets they can use to work more effectively, increase productivity, and be better able to focus, concentrate, and get meaningful work done on a day-to-day basis.

Students who participate in this workshop will have the opportunity to participate in a 2-hour virtual writing retreat facilitated by Dr. Miller immediately following the workshop (Zoom link will be provided during the workshop). Students who wish to participate in the writing retreat should come prepared with a research/writing activity. In this writing retreat, students will be supported to practice what they learned in the workshop.

This workshop is part of the Summer 2020 Graduate Professional Development (PD) Series:  “Managing Stress and Anxiety as a Graduate Student” brought to you by UF’s Office of Graduate Professional Development.

To save your seat for this workshops, register online via GIMS (Graduate Information Management System) by clicking this link: Log on to GIMS. Zoom link and password will be sent 24 hours before the workshop. Questions? Contact Amanda Catron, Office of Graduate Professional Development.
