What is 3MT?
Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a research communication competition that challenges graduate students to make a compelling presentation on their thesis topic in just three minutes before a panel of judges from across campus.

Why compete?
Besides the opportunity to practice your research pitch and public speaking, competitors have the opportunity to win up to $550! The winner will then be entered into the regional competition held in the spring.

When is 3MT happening?
Registration opens on September 3, 2019, with preliminary competition heats taking place in October. The final round, featuring the top contenders from the three initial rounds, will take place the afternoon of November 7, 2019.
