COE Scholarship Application Instructions

You must submit this completed form and all supplemental application materials electronically by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in order to be considered for College of Education Scholarships. Please digitally submit the COE Scholarship Application form and then send your supplementary application materials (resume/CV and essay) to scholarships@coe.ufl.edu. Recommendation forms are to be sent by your recommenders to scholarships@coe.ufl.edu. A complete scholarship application includes the following materials:

1. COE Scholarship Application (This Form) Please digitally submit this form by selecting the 'Send' button.
2. Resume or Curriculum vitae including educational qualifications, work experience, teaching experience, leadership positions, professional activities, community service, scholarships and awards
3. A 500-750 word essay (typed, double-spaced) in response to the following: Specify your career goals and how your study at the University of Florida relates to those goals. Include evidence of your interest in, commitment to, and/or potential for leadership in the field of education.
4. Two Scholarship Recommendation forms from current or former professors, employers, or others who know you well. It is your responsibility to forward the recommendation form to your recommenders. Recommendations from family members will not be accepted.
5. Some COE scholarships require a demonstration of financial need. Please remember to submit the FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov if you would like to be considered for scholarships requiring evidence of financial need. The FAFSA form does not need to be submitted to scholarships@coe.ufl.edu; you need only to complete the FAFSA form as directed on the fafsa.gov website by January 29, 2021. If you are an international applicant and unable to submit FAFSA, please submit the Financial Need Test form.
6. Students who would like to be considered for the J. W. Martin and A. M. Martin Phillips Scholarship Fund or the Dr. James L. Wattenbarger Fellowship should note the additional application requirements indicated on our website.
