I am from Jupiter, FL and I major in Astronomy as well as minor in Physics, Dance, and UFTeach at the University of Florida. My Noyce summer internship was completed at the Kika Silva Pla Planetarium at Santa Fe College. This experience skyrocketed my knowledge about the night sky and gave me ample opportunity in teaching groups of all ages. Before this internship I never acknowledged informal learning environments as useful, but now I see how incredible they actually are and the impact they have on learning. I am inspired to continue teaching through informal science education, whether it is for my own future classes, or by running my own planetarium some day.
