Office of Educational Research
The mission of the Office of Educational Research (OER) is to promote and support vibrant research, faculty development, and graduate education in the College of Education.
With progressive leadership, the college continues to enhance its educational research infrastructure to pursue new external funding opportunities for faculty research. The OER successfully fuels research enterprise and external funding by providing pre- and post-award support to faculty and doctoral students. The OER also coordinates interdisciplinary efforts among COE faculty, UF faculty, and other local, regional, and national stakeholders.
The OER facilitates faculty professional development by managing research- and instruction-based training in areas such as research design, quantitative and qualitative analyses procedures, and project management. The OER also provides support for faculty to disseminate research findings and manages the faculty award process, particularly related to acquiring seed money for external funding.
The OER promotes excellence and equity in all aspects of graduate education and helps to advance the visibility of graduate programs in the college. The OER works to ensure that all graduate students in the college receive the support and information they need to successfully complete their programs of study. The OER also facilitates processes for graduate student awards.
