Faculty and Staff Giving Opportunities

You may choose to make your gift in support of any school or department, or to a number of important cause. Listed below are a few of the giving opportunities most frequently supported by faculty and staff.

If you do not have a preference, we encourage you to choose the College Strategic Fund. 100% of gifts to the College Strategic Fund help meet the College of Education’s greatest financial challenge, which is funding academic scholarships and need-based grants for deserving students.

Why is charitable support to the College of Education important?

The College of Education relies on a combination of revenue and philanthropy to supply our budget. Each year, it becomes increasingly important for COE to fund a bigger portion of the budget from philanthropy; thereby, decreasing our reliance on tuition revenue. Many UF College of Education students receive some form of financial aid, and most of that assistance is provided by the College. Institutional aid is critical in helping to make an exceptional COE education possible and accessible to even more students.

How much should I contribute?

You determine the size and designation of your gift according to your own charitable priorities and capacity. Gifts of all sizes are appreciated and will count toward our participation rate. High participation among faculty and staff stands as an endorsement of the College.

When will my payroll deduction start?

It can take 1-3 pay cycles from your submission date to both start and stop a donation.

What if I want to change or stop my payroll deduction?

Once Gifts & Records has a signature on file via the Payroll Deduction Authorization Form, changes can be made via email to Maggie Fischer (mfischer@uff.ufl.edu), Laura Crakes (lcrakes@uff.ufl.edu), or the global G&R email at giftsandrecords@uff.ufl.edu.

Can I make a gift jointly with my spouse or partner?

Yes! Simply indicate on the gift form that the contribution is a joint gift and provide your spouse or partner’s name.
