COE hosts White House Conference on Helping America's Youth Oct. 27

National Web simulcast
of the
White House Conference on
Helping America’s Youth

First Lady Laura Bush

Thursday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHAT:
This national conference, hosted by Howard University, will bring together policymakers, research experts, educators, coaches, parents and representatives of foundations, faith-based and volunteer organizations to share examples of what is already working to make a difference in the lives of young Americans; and to generate new ideas that can be used across the country.
A National Digital Network is being developed that will link each of the 50 state sites with Washington, and provide broadcast and Webcast feeds, as well as email.
The list of speakers includes UF alumnus Mark Merrill, who got his undergraduate and law degrees at UF. Merrill, president of Family First, will serve on the panel at the 1:20 p.m. session on “Connecting with Family.”
