UF Mindfulness Day 2016 – Theme is “Integrating Mindfulness in Life”

FREE GRE WORKSHOP

AERA Minority Dissertation Fellowship in Education Research
The American Educational Research Association (AERA) is pleased to announce the AERA Minority Dissertation Fellowship in Education Research is now accepting applications. Writing in the Workplace course
To help UF students become better writers in the work environment, Writing in the Workplace is a free online course that teaches best practices including efficient, persuasive e-communication. The course is taught by Dr. Fiona Barnes, director of the Center for Management Communication. Enrollment is limited, and the course begins next week. Register today at best.dce.ufl.edu. FOCUS GROUP
I am a graduate student at UF conducting focus groups revolving around suicide prevention. My co-facilitators and I want to know what works in terms of suicide prevention on our campus and what doesn’t. How can we best help our students in need? We need your help to figure it out. Attached is a flyer to participate in the focus groups if you are able. Any UF student is eligible to participate. You will receive pizza and a gift card for your participation.

Student Assistant Position in the College of Education
The College of Education Business Office is seeking an undergraduate student assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for the remainder of the Fall 2016 & Spring 2017 semesters. Duties will include but not be limited to: document sorting and distribution, data entry, document imaging, filing and making copies, and providing excellent customer service. Interested applicants must have unmet financial aid need, availability to work 10-15 hours per week Mon.-Fri., and be enrolled at least ½ time for the fall and spring semester. Upward Bound Tutors – Afterschool and Saturday Teacher
Santa Fe College’s Upward Bound program prepares students for college in grades 9-12 at Bradford High School in Bradford County and Newberry High School in Alachua County. We are hiring dedicated people who can teach and tutor in Math, Science (Biology or Chemistry), Language Arts, English, Spanish, and Test Prep. Looking for a Tutor
I am looking for someone to tutor my son in Algebra 1 Honors twice a week, preferably at the Tower Road Library.  He is in 8th grade and is taking Algebra 1 Honors at Florida Virtual School. He has excellent math skills but needs a little extra help with the different processes that he is learning. Please email allisonjobenovak@cox.net.
