FREE GRE Workshops
The UF Teaching Center offers this workshop Monday through Thursday, April 16-19, from 5-7 p.m. each day.   The Math sessions are Monday  & Wednesday, and the Verbal sessions are Tuesday and Thursday.  You can register for just the math sessions, just the verbal sessions, or all four.  Go to www.teachingcenter.ufl.edu, then “study skills” then “workshops” to register and learn the workshop location.

Summer Day Camp Positions – seeking Education Students
I own a local day camp for kids that like to build stuff.  We teach STEAM concepts through play-based learning.  We are looking for energetic people who are passionate about teaching kids through project based and hands on learning.  We are currently hiring staff for our summer camp program, and would love to hire College of Education students for summer employment. Healthy Learning Academy – After School Counselor position
Position available for immediate hire.  Looking for an organized and dependable person to work at the After School Program for Healthy Learning Academy, an elementary charter school in Jonesville, FL (20 min from the University of Florida on Newberry Rd).  Duties: Supervising children, homework tutoring, distributing snack, and helping with arts and crafts, outside games, cooking, and other projects for the children.  Hours: Monday-Friday 1:45 – 6pm, *Wednesdays 12-6pm.  Pay: $10 per hour

Requirements:
*Background in childcare experience preferred.
*Professional and appropriate demeanor while talking to parents, children, staff
*Must love children and have excellent classroom management skills.
*As our school philosophy revolves around incorporating health, fitness and nutrition into our daily curriculum, it would be helpful if applicants truly embraced this lifestyle.

Two Tutor Positions
The Unity Family Community Center has two tutoring part-time positions open up in their afterschool program.  Tutors are needed Monday – Thursday from 2:30pm – 5:30pm from March 12 – June 1.  The tutors would work with the S.W.A.G. Study Abroad

Summer A 2018 Study Abroad Programs –Australia, New Zealand, and/or Fiji– Sustaining Humans and their Environments
 
Tourism, Recreation and Sports Management is offering three interdisciplinary study abroad programs with a focus on sustainability open to all majors: 
 
North Queensland, Australia – LEI 4955/LEI 6931 (6 credits) May 14th-June 10th, 2018. Field-based course including two research days on the Great Barrier Reef, live with an Australian farm family and study rural life, spend two nights in the Outback experiencing “life off the grid”, take part in a service learning project on an Aboriginal owned ranch, and finish the program exploring Sydney. 
 
New Zealand – LEI 4955/6931 (6 credits) May 15th -June 8th, 2018.  Field-based course with a focus on sustainability and natural resource management across the South and the North islands of New Zealand.  Learn about eco-tourism in Kaikoura and swim with dolphins, experience adventure tourism in Queenstown, learn about Maori culture, and visit Hobbiton and learn about movie related tourism  
 
Fiji – LEI 4955/6931 – (3 credits) June 10th-19th 2018.  Field-based course with three days working on an ecotourism project on Barefoot Island in the Yasawas, experience life in a traditional Fijian village, and visits to the Nadi craft markets. This program can be taken by itself for 3 credits or may be added to the North Queensland or New Zealand program for a total of 9 credits.
