FREE GRE Workshops
The UF Teaching Center offers this workshop Monday through Thursday, April 16-19, from 5-7 p.m. each day.   The Math sessions are Monday  & Wednesday, and the Verbal sessions are Tuesday and Thursday.  You can register for just the math sessions, just the verbal sessions, or all four.  Go to www.teachingcenter.ufl.edu, then “study skills” then “workshops” to register and learn the workshop location.

UF America Reads
UF’s America Reads program is currently hiring tutors for the Summer and Fall 2018 semester. America Reads is a Federal Work Study program that provides literacy tutoring to at-risk students in elementary schools and community centers in the local Gainesville community. Paid positions starting at $10/hour are available for students enrolled at the University of Florida who are eligible to receive Federal Work Study as a form of financial aid. Tutors must be available at least 3 days per week for a combined minimum of 8 hours per week. UF’s Precollegiate Education and Training Summer Staff Team
We are looking for qualified applicants with at least two years (post-high school) college experience, recent graduates, and graduate students for the positions located on the attachment. Rotary Youth Camp of North Florida
Seeking to hire for the following summer camp positions: Camp Counselors, Activity Leaders (Archery, Drama, Recreation, Crafts, Music, etc.) Lifeguards, Nurses, and Cooks (must be able to do Gluten Free, Vegan, Dairy, and Casein Free).Staff have 7 days of required training and 2 camp sessions. UAA Assistant Learning Specialist Position
The University Athletics Association, Inc. (UAA) at the University of Florida is currently seeking applicants to fill the position of Assistant Learning Specialist in the Otis Hawkins Center for Academic and Personal Excellence.

The Assistant Learning Specialist position is a two-year full-time (approximately 40 hours/week) paid internship intended to provide a practical, hands-on experience in the area of Learning Services Support for student-athletes while pursuing a graduate degree at the University of Florida.  Interested applicants can receive additional information and apply here.

University Press of Florida at UF is seeking interns for the Summer 2018 and Fall 2018 semesters in the following areas:

Study Abroad

Summer A 2018 Study Abroad Programs –Australia, New Zealand, and/or Fiji– Sustaining Humans and their Environments
 
Tourism, Recreation and Sports Management is offering three interdisciplinary study abroad programs with a focus on sustainability open to all majors: 
 
North Queensland, Australia – LEI 4955/LEI 6931 (6 credits) May 14th-June 10th, 2018. Field-based course including two research days on the Great Barrier Reef, live with an Australian farm family and study rural life, spend two nights in the Outback experiencing “life off the grid”, take part in a service learning project on an Aboriginal owned ranch, and finish the program exploring Sydney. 
 
New Zealand – LEI 4955/6931 (6 credits) May 15th -June 8th, 2018.  Field-based course with a focus on sustainability and natural resource management across the South and the North islands of New Zealand.  Learn about eco-tourism in Kaikoura and swim with dolphins, experience adventure tourism in Queenstown, learn about Maori culture, and visit Hobbiton and learn about movie related tourism  
 
Fiji – LEI 4955/6931 – (3 credits) June 10th-19th 2018.  Field-based course with three days working on an ecotourism project on Barefoot Island in the Yasawas, experience life in a traditional Fijian village, and visits to the Nadi craft markets. This program can be taken by itself for 3 credits or may be added to the North Queensland or New Zealand program for a total of 9 credits.
