UF Research Integrity Summer Series
This summer, UF Research Integrity, in collaboration with RCR on Campus, will once again host a seminar series on Research Integrity and the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR). The series will cover a wide variety of topics including the research lifecycle, research misconduct, peer review, as well as publishing and authorship.
Participants may enroll in one class, the whole series, or any combination of classes. Each seminar will be 1-2 hours and held via Zoom. About Seaside School, Inc: Founded in 1996, The Seaside School, Inc. was one of the first and is now one of the oldest surviving public charter schools in the state of Florida. University of Buffalo Project Staff Assistant, Psychology
Description: The incumbent will report to the principal investigator (Dr. Jamie Ostrov) and will assist the Project team with the coordination of the daily functions of the research project, while also supporting the in person and virtual interview and salivary/hair/nail cortisol data collection in local child care centers and the lab (or outside homes as needed).

ADHD Survey Study Participants
Description: This survey is part of an independent research study under the supervision of Dr. Andy Pham (avpham@fiu.edu) at Florida International University. You are invited to participate in a survey research study about pre-service education professionals’ knowledge of ADHD. The purpose of this study is to investigate undergraduate and graduate students’ knowledge of symptoms, assessment, treatment and management of ADHD. UF Survey | Exploring the Perceptions of Campus Police Outreach Events Among College Students
Dr. Erika Brooke from the Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law at the University of Florida:
Each semester, my undergraduate research methods students undertake an original data collection research project focused on improving the justice system. This semester, we are examining police—community interactions by exploring perceptions of undergraduate students on campus police sponsored outreach events. The study has been approved by the UF IRB (IRB202100354) and my students plan to present their findings to UF police at the end of the semester. Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program
Description: The Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program Collaborative is a two-year conservation training program for undergraduates who are interested in careers in conservation and in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field. Scholars take part in applied field research projects (1st Summer – 2021), professional internships (2nd Summer – 2022), mentoring, and form strong professional networks that span the country (and beyond). Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad Fellowships
Description: The Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) Fellowship Program provides opportunities for doctoral candidates to engage in full-time dissertation research abroad in modern foreign languages and area studies. The program is designed to deepen research knowledge and increase the study of modern foreign languages, cultural engagement, and area studies not generally included in U.S. curricula.
Program Features: Students may request funding to support overseas research for a period of no less than six months and no more than 12 months. Funds support travel expenses to and from the residence of the fellow and the country or countries of research; maintenance and dependent allowances based on the location of research for the fellow and his or her dependent(s); an allowance for research-related expenses overseas; and health and accident insurance premiums. Projects may focus on one or more of the following geographic areas: Africa, East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, South Asia, the Near East, Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia, and the Western Hemisphere (excluding the United States and its territories).
Eligible Applicants: Institutions of higher education (IHEs) in the United States are eligible to apply for grants under this program. As part of the application process, eligible students submit their individual research narratives and application forms to their home IHE. The IHE compiles all eligible individual student applications for inclusion in the institutional application that is submitted to the U.S. Department of Education. A student is eligible to receive a DDRA fellowship from their IHE if he or she
- is a citizen, national, or permanent resident of the United States;
- is a graduate student in good standing at an IHE;
- is admitted to candidacy in a doctoral degree program in modern foreign languages and area studies at that institution when the fellowship period begins;
- is planning a teaching career in the United States upon completion of his or her doctoral program; or
- possesses sufficient foreign language skills to carry out the dissertation research project.

UF IFAS Summer Internship with Cedar Key School K-12 Education
Description: This internship is intended to give undergraduate students at UF an opportunity for real-world experience in education and/or extension activities. Selected students will work alongside local K-12 youth from Cedar Key School. The hosts include UF/IFAS faculty as well as Cedar Key K-12 educators. Interns will participate in a summer wrap- up workshop where interns will summarize their experiences. This is a great opportunity for students to enhance their skill sets and explore career options in educational natural resource fields. This internship is open to current undergraduates from the College of Education, University of Florida.
Pay Rate: This internship is 240 paid work hours for a total of six weeks, and interns are paid $12.00 per hour for up to 40 hours a week.

Camp Laurel South Summer Camp
About Camp Laurel South: Camp Laurel South is located near Portland, Maine in the heart of the Sebago Lakes Region. Its 150 unspoiled acres include woodlands, sports fields and open lawns. It’s location in the southern part of Maine makes Laurel South a most inviting summer retreat for campers and counselors alike. Each summer, Laurel South operates two four-week programs with 400 boys and girls, ages 7 to 15 in each session. They come from all over the U.S. as well as several foreign countries. The return rate for both campers and staff is very high.
Description: Camp Laurel South is a residential summer camp in Maine seeking college athletes to be activity instructors and camp counselors for the summer of 2021. This is a great summer experience that can fulfill many internship requirements. We look for people with personality, character, maturity, professional training, experience and most importantly, a sincere desire to work with children. Our counselor to camper ratio is better than 1:3.

Description: Florida Elks Youth Summer Camp is hiring staff members and camp counselors! This summer program will go from June 13th 2021 to August 7th 2021. By working here at camp, students become eligible to apply for the Van Duren scholarship. Students must continue working here to receive the scholarship. Awards are between $1,000 and $5,000 a year. We are a residential camp and staff stay here on property while campers are here. Campers are 9-13.
Pay Rate: Starts at $300 a week.

STEPs for Success Tutors
Description: STEPs for Success is looking for tutors for elementary, middle, and high school students. Experience is preferred, but not required. Must be able to commit for the entirety of the 2020-2021 school year.
Pay: $15 per hour
Hours: Tutors-at least 4 hours a week (more hours are available upon request)
Schedule: Flexible (afternoon/evenings 3-4 days a week Monday through Friday are highly preferred)
