College of Education Class of 1968 Returns to Campus for Grand Guard Reunion

1968 was a significant year in history. For some, it was monumental for specific and personal reason: college graduation.

On November 15, members of the class of 1968 returned to campus as part of the annual Grand Guard reunion. As part of the weekend full of events and celebration, approximately 20 College of Education alumni and guests visited Norman Hall for a walk down memory lane and a look into the future.

According to the UF Alumni Association’s website, “The Grand Guard tradition began in 1955 and included graduates from East Florida Seminary, Florida Agricultural College, and South Florida Military Institute. There are approximately 900 living Grand Guard members to date.”

A recap video of the College of Education’s Class of 1968 visit is below. Photos of the 2018 Grand Guard weekend from the UF Alumni Association’s Facebook Page are to the right.
