Rachel Henesy awarded the 2018 ALGBTIC Graduate Student Award
Rachel Henesy, counselor education doctoral student, was awarded the 2018 Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling (ALGBTIC) Graduate Student Award. Rachel has been a member of ALGBTIC since 2013 and has served on several committees. She is serving her second year as the Graduate Student Representative for the Florida ALGBTIC, and she will serve as the ALGBTIC Student Trustee. Her areas of research and advocacy are related to LGBTQ+ affirmative counseling and intersectionality. She is also earning a graduate certificate in LGBT Health Policy & Practice from George Washington University.
