M.A.E. Program Requirements
Students in the Teachers, Schools, and Society (TSS) M.A.E. program in Curriculum & Instruction must meet the following minimum requirements.
- At least 30 graduate credit hours of approved coursework
- On campus attendance and participation in program activities
- Successful defense of Thesis or Project in Lieu of Thesis
Students are required to complete coursework in the following areas.
- Coursework in the Social Foundations of Education (i.e. History, Philosophy, Sociology/Anthropology, and Comparative/International Education)
- Coursework in Critical Studies in Race, Ethnicity, and Culture
- Thesis or Project in Lieu of Thesis coursework (3-6 credit hours)
