Algebra Nation teacher network

An article in The Journal describes how UF’s Algebra Nation received a $250,000 grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to build a teacher network that works hand-in-hand with a new teaching tool implemented in 2013 to help students with algebra. Also, Lastinger Center for Learning operations manager Boaz Dvir is quoted in a story about a new teacher-development network being formed, thanks to a $25,000 grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The network will be an expansion of the UF Lastinger Center for Learning’s Algebra Nation program, an online resource created in partnership with Study Edge to help high school students pass the algebra end-of-course exam.
