Admission Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field other than education from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • 3.0 grade point average in the last 60 hours of undergraduate study
  • Documentation of passing scores on the FTCE subject area exam for Elementary K-6
  • FLDOE issued Statement of Status of Eligibility verifying eligible for temporary certification in Elementary K-6
  • At least three letters of recommendation
  • Acceptance by the UF Graduate School
  • Statement of Purpose essay explaining why this program is a good fit for your career goals
  • Submit a current resume
