Aleksandra is a Research Assistant and works with Project STELLAR team in data collection, analysis, publications, and presentations, as well as participating in project meetings, coordinating program meetings and conducting literature reviews.
She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in ESOL/ Bilingual Education at School of Teaching and Learning, University of Florida. She is a Fulbright scholar and Delta Kappa Gamma Society International World fellow from Poland. She holds a MA in Linguistics, Teaching, and Translations (English, French, Polish) from the Institute of Applied Linguistics at University of Warsaw in Poland. She completed part of her MA studies in Chicago and in Brussels, Belgium.
Aleksandra has been a teacher of English and French since 2005. Her most recent professional experience in Poland includes working at American School of Warsaw (IB school) as a special education teaching assistant as well as a French teacher in elementary and middle school. Her research interests encompass multilingual just programs for refugee and immigrant students, translanguaging, socially just teacher preparation programs, sustainable education, and ecoliteracy.
