Alena Prikhidko

Alena Prikhidko received the UF College of Education Outstanding International Student Award. This award recognizes an international student that demonstrates exceptional scholarly research activity, outstanding participation in the department, and service to the University community. Alena is a doctoral candidate in the University of Florida Counseling and Counselor Education Program. She graduated from Moscow State University and came to the US after being an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Psychology at the Russian State University for the Humanities. Her research interests include emotion regulation of anger, anxiety and guilt, counselors professional development, emotional socialization and the relationship between parental and children’s emotional experiences in toddlerhood.
