Dr. John Super was honored as the 2017 Pete Fisher Humanitarian award recipient. He received this award for his care and passion to others. He has demonstrated this in numerous ways including through his volunteer work with LGBT+ Center in Orlando, help in responding to the Pulse tragedy, and also in his daily interactions with students and colleagues.
