Master’s Degree
This M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction requires 36 credits with a focus on Teacher Leadership for School Improvement.
CORE courses include all of these:
· EDE 6325 Guided Teacher Inquiry
· EDG 6207 Transforming the Curriculum
· EDG 6348 Instructional Coaching
· EDG 6047 Teacher Leadership and School Change
· EDG 6415 Culturally Responsive Classroom Management
· EDG 6445 Meeting the Educational Needs of Students Living in Poverty
Specialization Areas (5 courses in one or more areas below):
• Reading
• Educational Technology
• Media Literacy (literacy skills for 21st century learners)
• Secondary (6-12th) Mathematics
• Secondary (6-12th) Science
• ESOL
• Interdisciplinary (can include your choice of any specialization coursework)
Portfolio Practicum:
· 3 credits of EDG 6359 related to classroom implementation of course content and creation of a portfolio with evidence
Specialist Degree
This Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction requires 36 credits beyond a master’s degree. *NOTE: If your master’s is from UF, please ask the program coordinator for more information as special internal rules apply.

· 5 credits of EDG 6910 and 1 credit of EDG 6953 related to classroom implementation of course content and creation of a portfolio with evidence
