NSF Email and Possible Impacts from Required Email Configuration
Please note that as long as you are following UF policy for using your @ufl.edu email address for UF business and NOT forwarding business emails outside of that email address, you will not encounter the following problem:
In October 2018, NSF implemented Domain-based Messaging and Reporting Compliance (DMARC), a series of email authentication and reporting checks to improve email fraud defenses. This Department of Homeland Security protocol may result in some recipients not receiving NSF email if their organization email is not configured to meet DMARC or if people are auto-forwarding email to another account. If you believe you are experiencing email delivery issues with NSF email, please contact your organization’s IT division.
For more information about DMARC, please see https://www.nsf.gov/policies/dmarc.jsp.
