NSF Director’s Statement on FY2023 Budget
The executive branch of the federal government has submitted a budget request for FY2023, and the director of NSF has released a related statement. The proposed budget includes over $10 billion for the National Science Foundation. These funds would go to the following priorities: accelerating research and development in climate change and clean energy, advancing equity in science and engineering, expediting technology development in emerging technologies, continuing the construction and procurement of research infrastructure and instrumentation, and supporting NSF operations and award management.
